St. Judes\' Charity Poker Ride (Tallahassee) (10:00AM)
The Canopy Road Cruisers of the and the GWRRA Chapter FL1 A2 will be hosting a Charity Poker Run on August 2nd. First bike out at 10am from the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum (3550 Mahan Drive - http://tacm.com). Cost is $10 per rider; $10 for extra hand. The first 100 riders out get a free sandwich coupon from Chick-fil-A. Last bike in at 2pm at the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum. Free hot dog lunch on return from poker run closing around 2:30pm to allow everyone time to see the auto museum which closes at 5pm. The museum will give 50% off admission the day of the poker run. There will be a 50-25-25 ticket drawing. Best hand wins $100 plus 10 $10 tickets will be drawn from tickets given to all participants. All proceeds benefit the St. Judes Children's Research Hospital. They will also have (not to do with St. Judes) $1.00 chances to win a 2009 Honda Gold Wing to be given away at GWRRA's March 2009 State Rally in Kissimmee (2nd prize is $1,000 cash and 3rd prize is $500 cash). On June 28, 2008, a single vehicle crashed into 12 motorcycles injuring several members of Outlaws MC and Black Pistons MC. Several of the accident victims were severely injured and have lots of rehabilitation and recovery ahead of them. Cove Pub & Restaurant Inverness, FL Fred Patnode has planned routes to and from and has volunteered to lead this ride. Thank you Fred! This place is good, lots of room, and a nice ride to and back. Fred was there a couple of months ago, got there an hour before it opened and they opened the place up for them. Good Yahoo reviews also. At 65 miles it's a little over the 50 mile radius but the burgers are worth it This is a scheduled 64.9 mile ride. The return trip has been routed as well for 67.4 miles.
