Just in time for Motorcycle Safety Month, the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) has launched a new safety website for car drivers.  ForCarDrivers.com provides valuable information on how car drivers can SAFELY interact with motorcycle riders.

The site highlights the rising death and collision statistics and states "motorists simply are not taking their driving task seriously".  With so many distractions including children, hand-held mobile phones, audio entertainment, satellite navigation and eating or drinking while driving more drivers are loosing focus and concentration which can cause them to end up in a collision.

ForCarDrivers.com provides safety tips, video instruction, and other resources for car drivers and fleet managers. Of particular interest is the Intersection Kit that includes videos and quick tip brochures  that combine personal stories and character development with a dramatic new look at the number one crash scene for a motorcycle vs car collision- the intersection.

This website is a expansion of the The Motorcycle Safety Foundation's mission is to make motorcycling safer and more enjoyable. I for one am happy to see this national organization include the car driver as part of their focus to make the streets safer for us to ride!
