The State of West Virginia has unveiled a new website geared to attract motorcycle riders to the state, www.wvmountainrider.com. The site has information on the best scenic riding routes, motorcycle safety tips (helmets are mandatory in WV), info on upcoming events and a place where you can talk about your favorite WV ride.
With SC trying to get rid of Myrtle Beach Bike week and Tennessee trying to close down the Dragon, it's nice to see that West Virginia still sees the value in our tourism dollars. Do you think it might have something to do with West Virginia's Governor, Joe Manchin, being a Harley rider? HMMM....
There's a nice article including an interview with the Governor in the Charleston Daily Mail. Check it out on http://www.dailymail.com/News/200807180154.
