Great Ride: Zellwood To Clermont |

 This ride has will take you along some winding back roads of Orange & Lake Counties. Lots of country land, lakes and orange groves align your path as you travel toward the highest point in Florida, Sugarloaf Mountain (all of 312 feet high). You should see lots of fellow bikers along the way as this area is a favorite of many as everyone loves to ride "the loaf"! Set the leisurely tone, by stopping at some of my favorite "biker" hangouts- Jalopy Joes in Zellwood, Dizzy's in Tavares, Yalaha Bakery in Yalaha and The Tiki Bar in Clermont.
You can pick up this ride at any point along the route depending on the direction you are coming from. If you travel the full route you should log approximately 165 miles for the day. Please remember all mileage is approximate. From the intersection of US Hwy 441 and SR 429: | Travel North On Hwy 441 | 7.5 miles | | REST STOP AT MILE 6 | Jalopy Joe's on Right. Check out the great bbq out back! | | Turn Left to CR 448, Sadler Road | 2.9 miles | | Turn Right to Continue on 448 | 7.7 miles | REST STOP
| Just before light turn left into plaza for Dizzy's Bar. Your friendly neighborhood hangout. | | Turn Right to CR 561 West | 1.7 miles | | Turn Left on SR 19 South | 4.8 miles (cross Little Lake Harris Bridge) | | SIDE TRIP: | Yalaha Bakery. Turn Right on CR 48. Bakery will be on your left. See Side Trip for more info. | | Turn Left At Stop to Continue on SR 19 South | 3.9 miles | | Turn Left on CR 455 South (toward Monte Verde) | 13 miles, at 10 miles continue on 455 at light | | Merge onto Old Hwy 50 | 2.2 Miles | | Turn Right To Continue on Old Hwy 50 | .1 Miles | | Make Right to Light. This is Hwy 50 | End Route | | Turn Right to Clermont and Tiki Bar and Lakeridge Winery (off US 27). Turn Left to Florida Turnpike or SR 408. | | | EXTRA STOP: | Tiki Bar. Turn Right at Hwy 50 at route end to go to Tiki Bar. Follow to US 27 Make Right. Follow to Washington, make left. Two blocks up on left, right on Lake Minneola. Gorgeous Sunsets. Great Burgers. | | EXTRA STOP II: | Lakeridge Winery. Take home some Florida Wine. Winery Tours and live music on certain weekends. Also off US 27. |
