What's Your Bike Worth? NADA Updates Web Site Estimates

Have you ever tried to find the value for your late model motorcycle for a trade in or as proof of loss to an insurance company? Unfortunately, I had to do the latter recently and it was a frustrating experience (to say the least). The usual sources of NADA and Kelly Blue Book (KBB) really didn't seem to take into consideration on how accessories add value to your motorcycle or how certain models seem to retain their value better then others. In fact, when I inquired at the KBB site, it stated there was not enough "turn over" yet on a 2004 model to determine its value.

Apparently the NADA recently realized there was a lack in resources for motorcycle values and has re-vamped its web site to more accurately calculate the value of your bike. They have added a new area where you can check off certain accessories and it will break down the value that each of these accessories will add to your bottom line. I still don't think this truly reflects the value of motorcycles here in Florida, but it's a step in the right direction.
